My Story
Whether it was being raised in a blended family that wanted to talk about everything, the guidance of my own incredible therapists, or a childhood education centered around empathy and self-understanding—I’ve known for as long as I can remember that I wanted to become a therapist.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Denver, where I built a strong clinical foundation, completed a certificate in interpersonal trauma, and deepened my heart for social justice. From there, I pursued advanced clinical training in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Denver Family Institute, where I spent two immersive years growing as a Couples and Family Therapist. Through video-recorded sessions, live peer observation, intensive supervision, and the support of a deeply engaged community of therapists, I found my voice and presence in the therapy room.

Now, with over a decade of experience, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of clients on their journeys through healing, growth, and self-discovery. I feel incredibly grateful to do work that is both professionally fulfilling and personally aligned with who I am. I’m especially passionate about the power of connection and the possibilities that emerge when we feel truly seen and supported.

As a therapist, a clinical supervisor, and a faculty member at the Denver Family Institute, I continue to learn and grow in this field I love.

In my personal life, I’m a mom of two and have been with my husband for 15 years. These parts of my life—messy, joyful, demanding, and full of love—continue to shape my understanding of relationships, resilience, and what it means to show up with care.

My Style

I draw from a range of approaches including attachment therapy, narrative therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, and good old-fashioned logic and humor. I show up as myself, and my first priority is to get to know you—not just your struggles, but your strengths, values, and what really matters to you.

Once trust is built between us, I’ll be direct and honest in a way that keeps us grounded in your goals and hopes for therapy. My aim is to create a space where you feel deeply understood and gently challenged—so real growth can happen.

I believe relationships can be the most meaningful and healing part of our lives.
I believe every person has a story that deserves to be heard.
And I truly believe that we all have the capacity to tap into our own inner resources—to find peace, clarity, connection, and healing. When we do, we are able to show up in the world as our truest, brightest selves.

My Story

I consider myself a transplant-native of Colorado as I moved here over 10 years ago from Texas! I am fortunate to hold several roles in life that are so important to me. I am a mother, wife, friend, and counselor!

I began my journey to becoming a therapist in an unusual place: an animal hospital. I have always loved all critters, so I began working at the animal hospital to be close to the creatures that bring me joy. I expected to learn about different pets and snuggle kittens all day; what I did not expect was the vast amount of grief I would witness and feel connected to. As anyone who has loved an animal knows, our time with them is usually more limited than we would like. For me, this inevitability sometimes meant that a family’s last goodbyes with a beloved pet would happen right in front of me. I found myself in a position to provide support and comfort, as much as possible, during what were clearly painful experiences for these families. I felt unbelievably honored to have been there for someone during a difficult time and truly connected to the impactful nature of supportive/loving relationships in our lives (between human or with furry family members). These moments provided clarity for me that counseling is my purpose and my passion!

I received my Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University and my Masters in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. I have experience supporting families dealing with the impact of trauma, teens and kids navigating school and family challenges, and brave individuals of all walks of life seeking support. I am passionate about couples therapy and have been fortunate to work with couples looking to strengthen relationships, rebuild trust after infidelity, and reconnect by increasing physical and emotional intimacy. I consider the therapeutic relationship special and important. I am honored to work with each unique client and system, as I learn so much from every interaction and always leave sessions feeling more connected to the human experience.

My Style

I believe that people strive to find connection and meaning in life. These pursuits require vulnerability, and that is just plain hard sometimes! My experiences both as a human and as counselor have taught me that our close relationships can be our biggest strengths and sources of comfort. Therapy, then, can be a perfect venue to build and strengthen those relationships, if we lean into the process. I operate with the understanding that everyone fills roles in life (mother, friend, husband, employee, sister etc.) and their behavior in these roles is directly related to their needs and experiences in the relationships they engage in. Because of this, I utilize a systemic approach to support the overall function for all parties involved.

As a counselor, your goals are my goals. I believe that every person, family, and couple is unique. My job is to meet my clients where they are on their journeys and facilitate supportive conversations and experiences to help them reach their goals.
